Penang is about eating and drinking out and the choice of food and restaurants is bewildering. If you feel like having a healthy lunch of raw fish I can highly recommend Penang's oldest Japanese restaurant Miyako on 103 Penang Road. The co-owner Soo Chee Yong used to work in Japan and has been running the restaurant for over a decade. He imports all the high quality fish from Japan and the prices for a bento or sashimi set are hard to beat, starting as low as 15 ringgit. The many Japanese customers are a proof for the quality of the food served!
