If one thinks about furniture normally either a Swedish mass-retailer or Italian designer brands come to mind. But also the French have some very interesting and venerable brands. One of them is Fermob that produces wonderfully made and very colourful garden furniture in a very high quality. At the moment the craze of the day are the Rattan-like plastic couches by brands like Dedon and others. Unfortunately my little balcony cannot accommodate such monstrous constructions so I had to look for something more elegant and space-saving. Therefore I came across the wonderfully crafted and very light, made from aluminium, and colourful French garden furniture range. Particularly the range by the name of Luxembourg, named so because the chairs and lounge chairs can be found in the “Jardin de Luxembourg” in Paris, I like for its comfort and style. The chairs and tables have sculptural character because of the amazing colour range they have.
